If strikes move within 8 miles of the stadium, FIFA safety protocols could see England’s Round of 16 match halted for a minimum of 30 minutes.

At the moment, England vs Mexico has not been postponed and remains scheduled to kick off at 6pm local time in Mexico City (1am BST).
However, there is a strong risk of a delayed kick-off because of thunderstorms and lightning around the Azteca Stadium today.
Officials activated a ‘shelter indoors’ warning on the jumbo TV screens in the stadium a couple of hours before kick off.
Earlier in the tournament, Mexico’s Round of 32 match against Ecuador was delayed by an hour because of severe thunderstorms
